It's been ages since I did a Bible art journaling layout ust for the fun and joy of it.  The verse from Jeremiah was the starting point for my page.  The flower was from a photo I took on a walk around the block. My peonies just won't bloom so I captured a beauty from someone else's yard.

I stepped down from the Creative Team for Gina Miller Designs.  I appreciate that she let me serve on her team for more than a year (maybe it was two, can't remember).  With her busy schedule and my busy schedule, I just felt like I needed to reduce the number of teams I'm on.  Now I'm on the teams for: Pink Reptile Designs, Amy Wolff, Kim Jensen Designs, Etc by Danyale, Lynn Grieveson Designs and Jen Maddocks Designs.  I will need to reassess in the fall, if I should step down from any other teams.

I made a layout for an upcoming sale using some products I've used before for Kim Jensen Designs.
I wanted to show off the new bed and bedroom that would soon be Ewan's new room.  Here is the first version.  I liked it but upon reflection it seemed to beginner-ish.  I wanted to also emphasize Ewan more and eliminate some of the photo clutter (but I couldn't crop it more without losing part of Ewan's body).

I modified the freebie template a little bit by splitting the frames, enlarging them and moving them to opposite corners.  I also removed a couple of paper pieces around the photos.  I really like how closely I could get the title to the games title/name.

Two Birds with One Stone | Kim Jensen Designs SOSN and Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs Template Challenge

I was able to use Kim's three SOSN products with a template by Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs.  The template was a freebie for Cheryl's JULY Template Challenge.  So this layout accomplished two things: promoted Kim's products and enter Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs' challenge.  Actually, it did THREE things, the third being I got to scrap one of my family's photo.

I found the original layout that I lifted from Pinterest.  I was able to trace it to a template sample page by Nettio Designs creative team.  Unfortunately I could find the name of the actual maker.  With the kit I used, they don't look too much alike anyway.

Make It Snappy (MIS) Challenge from Scrapping with Liz at The Lilypad

First Saturday of the month, SWL has a great challenge.  The prize is a new template by her and a chance to get $10 from her store.  I had 75 minutes to complete the page for the coupon prize but 24 hours to complete it for the free template.

I had picked out the kit and template before even seeing the instructions.  Luckily they worked out fine.

TLP Slow Scrap | Extractions

There was a great tutorial featuring the refine edges technique for PSE 11 with yesterday's slow scrap challenge.  I used the technique which was pretty successful (notice the wisps of hair at the top of Ewan's head).  I followed the requirements pretty closely with just 5 elements and a shadow on the extraction.  I used an alpha and a font on the title.  I love how it turned out.
