Five down and one to go....

Greg has gotten my new Toshiba laptop up and running so I finished some layouts for The Lilypad challenges.  If I do all seven challenges, I can be considered forone of two guest CT spots and I would love that.  I like many of their designers.

Because of the Lenovo failure and the time lag in the Toshiba arriving, I had to use only the latest kits I downloaded from TLP.  I am getting a LOT of mileage out of the money spent there.

First up is the freebie template challenge.  I used the Mixed Media Monthly August 2014 kit.  I love that kit, but after 6 layouts with it, I'm getting kind of tired of it.  I made this an art journaling page since I didn't have any photos on the hard drive after the factory reset.

Second, is the Random Challenge, "On the Edge"; everything had to be on the edge of the layout.  I used kits from 3 designers that are part of the Build Your Own Collab (BYOC) for September.  These kits were required for another challenge, so I decided to get some extra mileage out of them.

Third is the BYOC Challenge where I had to use kits from three different designers.  I bought the paper and elements of Bright because I was drawn to the papers.  Then I bought a template set to help cut down on design time.  The alpha looked good and was the cheapest thing left.

Fourth up is a Scraplift Challenge which required checking out a traditional scrapper's gallery and picking one design to copy.  The star bursty thing is what I latched on to so I used the M3 kits.

Fifth is a layout for the One Word Challenge - "Change".  Again using the BYOC kits to stretch those dollars.

I have one more challenge to go before the end of the month.  It is a journaling challenge to scrap about something that is important to me.  I might actually buy a new kit for this since I have used the others extensively.  There are some cute photos of Ewan and Vivi together which would be great for this challenge.  Later....

BTW, the sixth challenge that I've completed was one done just for fun using the M3 kits.  I posted it in the previous post titled "Possibilities".  The challenge was a Products Challenge using the new Mixed Media Monthly August 2014 kit.  BONANZA!  I had 4 of them to choose from, so I picked the only one that wasn't for any other challenge.

Now, later....

Possiblilities redone....

I changed the rule of 3s on an edited layout.  See what you think....

Using M3 kit....

This is not for a challenge, I just wanted to use the kit again.  It was hard to put together since I didn't have a clear objective.

P&C layout without a photo....

Even though my photos are "off-line"  I was able to make a layout without one.  It's not exactly an art journaling type, but it works -- I think so anyway.

2 more challenge at The Lilypad

Since I can't get access to my photos, it is wonderful that TLP is doing some challenges for the Mixed Media Monthly subscribers.  I posted the first one before I had to do the factory reset which removed all my photos and scrapping supplies.  Since then I reloaded a FEW kits and  fonts for Art Journaling.

Here is challenge #2 to use the quote (or the idea of it) "All things are possible for those who believe."  I didn't use the quote.

Here is Challenge #3 which was to journal about 5 things about me or my life here & now.

I absolutely LOVE this girl with the binoculars.  She started out as a flair or a plain button which I enlarged to full-page size.
