I finally got on the ball and did the Pink Reptile Designs December Template Challenge.  The template is really a great one.  The rule was to list 5 things and I tried, but really 4 fit my theme.  I did add a big block of journaling.  I used 4 fonts and the rules said to use at least 3.

The Lilypad Slow Scrap

I love slow scraps because I can enjoy the chat and not even think about the layout since there are 24 hours to get the page done.  I used a kit from Danyale that I didn't have in my stash.  I also used another of the grunge edges which I LOVE!!  The kit has a fun and festive feel to it which went with Vivi's photos even though the photos are from Christmas eve.

Finishing Up the 12 Days of AJ - Day 10, 11, and 12

The Lilypad upgrade is finished so it was finally time to finish up the last three layouts for the 12 Days challenge.  Day 10 was supposed to have a creature/critter in it.  I put myself in it.  I'm a bit of a creature wouldn't you say?!  I wanted to do something artsy with one of my headshots.  I found this in filters.  I stayed with the default color and just recolored some of the elements and papers.  They were pretty close to start with so I only tweaked them a little bit.

The final layout required a scene.  It didn't have to be a winter scene.  I chose a starry sky (two blended papers) and a quote I found on Pinterest.  I love the background paper that resulted.  I love the simple gold star.  The tree was perfect for this, too.

I used a variety of kits by Jen for the White Space Challenge at Digital Scrapbooking Studio.  I love the grungy architectural stamps in Urban Grunge 8.  One of them reminded me of a carnival ride which brought to mind the Merry-Go-Round outside of the Smithsonian Museum in D.C.

Mirjam at Pink Reptile Designs has a wonderful set of kits with some less traditional colors for the Christmas/winter season.  I love the light blue and tan together.  I altered the template from Aga at Jimbo Jambo by shifting it to the side.

A New Challenge and December BYOC Kits by Amy Wolff

Amy got her new kits into the store today and they are GREAT!  I put together the poster for the challenge using parts of the new BYOC kits from her.  I made a small ad also for TLP newsletter.
I then put together a layout with the kits.  They are fun and easy to use.

New Signature at The Lilypad

I LOVE making new signatures.  It took me awhile to figure out the process, but now I have it down pat.  I used Amy Wolff's latest BYOC elements for the winter feel of this siggy.  Loved doing some cloning work to give the bear a lower body.  I also recolored the glittery letters to go with the palette better.  The badge is about the upcoming month of challenges at TLP.
